ROLE
Ogilvy Social.Lab's Data & Automation team located in Brussels, is an integral part of WPP Global collaborating with partners from all around the globe, including Europe, UK, Africa, and the US. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our the uniquely entrepreneurial spirit of the Data & Automation team building solutions to improve efficiency and quality output both for us and our partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a data engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining cloud-based data systems such as Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Building and maintaining data pipelines with a focus on API-based data sources.
- Ensuring data quality and governance across databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Implementing data integration solutions, including tools like Funnel and custom ETL processes.
- Applying security and legal compliance principles to data management.
- Applying key security and legal compliance principles to data management.
- Documenting data processes and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Innovating and improving current data processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Providing support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.
- Supporting the team’s ML initiatives.
PROFILE
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in data engineering, particularly in marketing or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python and R.
- Experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
- Alignment with the team’s values of innovation and efficiency.
- Openness to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
