Job Description

Attain Partners is seeking an On-Demand Executive Advisor - Higher Education CFO for short, high-impact engagements supporting pursuits and delivery. Typical requests include proposal review, value-case validation, executive discovery sessions, and targeted delivery governance/value realization guidance.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Review and strengthen business cases (value drivers, cost/benefit logic, affordability, risks, governance controls).
• Provide proposal reviews focused on CFO priorities: ROI, funding strategy, accountability, reporting, and decision readiness.
• Support short discovery sessions to validate finance priorities and accelerate executive alignment.
• Offer targeted delivery guidance on value realization tracking and financial governance.

 

Required Skills

• Former CFO / deputy CFO / VP Finance in higher education with strong governance and value realization experience.
• Executive communication skills; fast ramp-up and practical advisory approach.
• Clear conflict-of-interest profile; adheres to confidentiality and program guidelines.
