Position Summary:
The Team Lead I, Distribution works closely with the Distribution Manager and assists in coordinating picking and shipping activities, maintaining quality control measures, monitoring productivity and service goals, and promoting a safe and compliant culture.

Position Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Distribution Manager to oversee DC operations, including directing associates and maintaining a steady workflow across all areas to meet customer service levels.

• Coordinate associates according to the work plan in picking and shipping areas.

• Train new material handlers on technical and operational processes.

• Identify and develop cross-training opportunities, backup roles, and individual training requirements to optimize performance capabilities for all shift associates.

• Build and maintain a safety-focused team by promoting 6S standards, enforcing all safety policies and housekeeping practices, conducting safety meetings, and completing thorough accident and incident investigations.

• Schedule flexibility required for multi-shift operation.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.

• Basic experience with RF scanners, WMS, and SAP preferred.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, coaching, diplomacy, and conflict resolution.

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both verbal and written.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in operations or a distribution/warehouse environment required.

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a distribution/warehouse environment preferred.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Valid equipment operator certification (walkie, reach truck, order picker, forklift, fall protection) required.

Compensation Range for the Position:

Hourly: $25.00 - $28.00 CAD

Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
