We are searching for the best talent for Associate Director, Strategy and Operations in Spring House, PA.

Purpose: The Associate Director, Strategy and Operations, will play a critical role in functional leadership and operational support to ensure the successful execution of initiatives that enhance efficiency and drive scientific innovation of the Discovery Technologies and Molecular Pharmacology (DTMP) Organization. This individual will partner closely with the Director of Strategy & Operations to understand Therapeutics Discovery scientific strategy and drive continuous improvements and change management within DTMP. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Manage Functional Resources to Target (Operational Costs, Capex, Headcount)
  • Optimize functional efficiencies across CROs, contractors, and lab supplies through contracting oversight & procurement partnership
  • Manage DTMP partnerships and collaborations in conjunction with Alliance Management
  • Drive strategic and process operational improvement initiatives on behalf of DTMP
  • Contribute DTMP inputs to Therapeutics Discovery financial planning and forecasting cycles
  • Functional Leadership support including LT/ELT Meeting Facilitation & Communications
  • Support 2026 Functional G&O development and progress tracking
  • Maintain Functional 3 year Strategies
  • Support Functional Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support DTMP LT with talent processes (advancements, talent talks, year-end performance)

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.

Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in both laboratory sciences and operations in pharma R&D
  • Knowledge of Discovery sciences and business
  • Strong organizational skills related to data management
  • Demonstrated success at developing highly collaborative and effective relationships in complex, highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to present and communicate to stakeholders
  • Individual must have demonstrated experience and success with external partnerships
  • This candidate would have change management experience
  • Experience in assessing technology, external environment & R&D process requirements to successfully drive operational productivity, strategy optimization, process improvements and efficiencies
  • This person will have experience with Program, Project and Financial Management
  • Ability to translate data into information and strategies into executable action plans
  • This role requires 10-30% domestic and international travel as needed.
