What we are looking for:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial and Management Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing the Company’s monthly financial performance dashboard for the Executive Committee, quarterly presentations to the Board of Directors, and preparing key business performance analytics in support of the Company’s Management, Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) on a quarterly basis.  This role will work very closely with Corporate Accounting, Regional Finance Teams, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Treasury.  Strong cross functional and business partnership skills are essential.

The role is based in Toronto.  Travel will be required to Montreal (Head office) as needed.

Your responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the Company’s monthly and quarterly financial performance dashboard for the Executive Committee;

  • Preparation of the Company’s Board of Directors presentation on a quarterly basis;

  • Preparation of key business analytics in support of the quarterly and annual Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A);

  • Prepare presentations for senior management and the Audit Committee on a quarterly basis or as required;

  • Partnering with the Corporate FP&A team and the divisional finance teams to understanding key operating and financial results;

  • Organize and present data extracted from SAP in a concise manner and provide key insights to executive leadership;

  • Assisting in the quarterly review and year end audit as needed;

  • Special projects as required.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Accounting;

  • CPA designation with “Big 4” accounting firm experience is an asset;

  • At least 3 years of experience in a public company environment;

  • Highly capable with Microsoft Excel (i.e. financial modeling) and PowerPoint (i.e. Board presentations);

  • High attention to detail and quality of deliverables;

  • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills;

  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deliverables concurrently in a demanding environment;

  • Proven ability to confidently and effectively interact with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationships in a team-oriented, deadline driven environment;

  • Experience using SAP and or SAC, Workiva is considered an asset;

  • Experience in Financial Service or Asset Management is an asset.
