Job Description:

The Senior Vice President (SVP), New Stream Media serves as the senior strategic and commercial leader for one of our largest retail clients.

This role is responsible for helping our client scale as a high-performing retail media business by driving revenue growth, strengthening client partnerships, improving operational efficiency, and advancing innovation across Retail Media, Enterprise Media, and Loyalty. 

Acting as a day-to-day executive partner to client leadership, the SVP will help guide a period of rapid growth and transformation while ensuring alignment across dentsu teams and capabilities.  

Key Responsibilities 

Client Leadership & Growth 

  • Serve as the senior strategic advisor to leadership. 

  • Build executive-level client relationships and lead strategic planning efforts. 

  • Drive retail media revenue growth through enhanced go-to-market strategies, advertiser engagement, and new monetization opportunities. 

  • Identify opportunities to expand non-endemic advertising, offsite media, and emerging commerce media capabilities.  

  • Evangelize the NSM offering in dentsu, meet with client leads to proactively solution partnerships and new client endeavors. 

Strategic Consulting & Innovation 

  • Lead initiatives focused on retail media growth, operating model evolution, and business transformation. 

  • Champion innovation across audience strategy, measurement, AI, automation, and media technology. 

  • Bring emerging industry trends and best practices to the client.

Operational Excellence 

  • Develop scalable operating models, processes, and governance frameworks. 

  • Partner with Program Leadership, Account Management, Analytics, and Operations teams to improve efficiency and execution. 

  • Drive automation and workflow improvements that support long-term growth.  

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Align Retail Media, Enterprise Media, Loyalty, Analytics, Data, and Creative teams around common goals. 

  • Leverage the full breadth of dentsu capabilities to drive client success and business growth. 

  • Support new business opportunities, strategic initiatives, and capability expansion efforts.  

Team Leadership 

  • Direct management of the client Account Management team 

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team. 

  • Build capabilities, develop future leaders, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. 

  • Partner with NSM leadership on organizational planning and talent development. 

Qualifications 

  • 15+ years of experience in retail media, media strategy, digital advertising, consulting, or related fields. 

  • Experience leading large-scale client relationships and executive stakeholder engagement. 

  • Strong knowledge of retail media monetization, enterprise marketing, audience strategy, and advertiser needs. 

  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, operational transformation, and organizational change. 

  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and complex client organizations. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. 

  • Familiarity with media platforms, retail media technologies, measurement solutions, and retail data ecosystems.  

The annual base salary range for this position is $190,000-$260,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
