About the Team

Join our Core Platform Organization, in Pleasanton to build the framework and tooling that supports all of Workday’s Core Business Processes. We value innovation, collaboration, and ownership. About the Role

Lead a team of multifaceted software developers to build and maintain the Business Process Frameworks and Tooling. Recruit top talent to grow the team capacity. Plan, releases and schedule development. Provide estimates and initial assessment for proposed development tasks. Ensure timely and high quality delivery of the project. Coordinate projects that span multiple teams. Assist direct reports with career growth and personal development. Work closely with Product Management to determine release scope and to ensure that features meet requirements.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years leading a technical team and/or experience with managing software engineering teams
• 10+ years experience with software development including Object-oriented (OO) design
• 10+ years of experience in with one or more of the following coding languages: Java, Scala, Python, Golang, Javascript, C#, Typescript or Xpresso

Other Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills and experience of motivating engineers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong technical recruiting skills, as we are looking for continued growth of the team
• Proven track record to drive complicated projects across multiple component teams
• Production performance and operation support experience in SaaS environment
• Metadata-driven definitional development experience

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $200,000 USD - $300,000 USD

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $190,000 USD - $348,000 USD
