Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support local Commercial and Finance teams with all new business tenders
  • Lead any Region level new business tenders
  • Own the relevant Europe TAT excel files used for the tender analysis and approvals
  • Train local Finance and Commercial teams to ensure correct completion of TAT files
  • Analyse and challenge tender assumptions ensuring accurate financials
  • Work with Commercial to suggest optimal offers to the customers and best solutions for Gate
  • Identify risks and help to ensure new contracts reduce our exposure
  • Carryout post win / loss reviews and document results to be shared with Europe management
  • Manage Revenue Assurance for the Europe region by establishing regular analysis and reports
  • Carryout regular audits and deep dive checks to ensure all revenue is correctly invoiced
  • Perform customer contract and tender reviews to maximise revenue and profitability
  • Lead monthly analysis and reporting for the Europe region of customer CM1
  • Investigate CM1 anomalies with the relevant teams and ensure any required corrective action
  • Manage monthly DSO reviews and associated MBR deck analysis and commentary
  • Work with local Commercial and Finance teams to review the invoicing process, maximise revenue, reduce DSO and improve customer satisfaction
  • Build strong working relationships with the Europe and Local Commercial and Finance teams and the Group Business Controlling team
  • Ensure adherence to Group and Regional Authority Matrix
  • Prepare Ad hoc financial analysis
  • Provide active support in CF planning and reporting
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the European Finance and Commercial teams
  • Ad hoc assistance with other finance projects

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with professional qualification
  • Master’s degree preferred; Finance, Business, Economics, Math or Engineering majors
  • ACCA/CIMA or local accounting qualified is strongly preferred

Work Experience:

  • Strong financial background with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a finance analysis or reporting role
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in new business tender analysis
  • 2 or more years managing a FP&A function preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a finance team that has a mix of levels and experience
  • Ability to motivate non-direct reports to meet deadlines and follow best practice
  • Expert Excel user
  • Strong capability and knowledge of systems: Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Essbase, or other management information systems; strong drive to explore and exploit systems capabilities.
  • Understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently without supervision
  • Ability to see 'big picture" strategic view as well as process details
  • Ability to interpret information, recognize needs of the business, and translate data into actionable analysis
  • Ethical beyond question – inspire trust

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

  • Must possess excellent financial and analytical skills including experience creating complex excel spreadsheets
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management and staff.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and successfully manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

  Language / Communication Skills:

  •  Fluent in written and spoken English, other European languages an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to work in a matrix organisation
  • Ability to influence and motivate others
