Position Summary

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implements incident management processes and procedures to ensure the timely resolution of production issues and minimize the impact on business operations.

  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify and address root causes of production incidents that ultimately lead to the improved stability and performance of future systems.

  • Develops actionable insights on system health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to maintain optimal operational efficiency.

  • Coordinates the implementation of automated tools and software that aim to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual errors in production support activities.

  • Conducts incident post-mortems and root cause investigations into recurrent issues, and subsequently develops and implements preventive measures.

  • Creates and maintains relationships with business stakeholders to foster effective communication and collaboration.

  • Prioritizes support tasks based on criticality and business impact, ensuring that complex issues are appropriately addressed and resolved within established timelines.

  • Guides junior-level production support team members, providing leadership and mentorship, and promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Ensures that support procedures, incident resolutions, and system configurations are well-documented and accessible to team members to help maintain consistency and allow for faster issue resolution.

  • In this high-impact role, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for the reliability, stability, and performance of our cloud-native platform. You will work at the intersection of engineering and operations—owning incident response, driving root cause analysis, and partnering with product and infrastructure teams to build systems that scale.

  • This is a hands-on technical position. You will be expected to write production-quality code. You bring deep expertise in cloud infrastructure and modern application stacks, and you thrive in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.



Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Prior Relevant Work Experience
7-10 years

Essential Qualifications

  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills

  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork

  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

  • Experience with Azure-specific services: AKS, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps

  • Experience with GCP services: GKE, Cloud Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Operations Suite

  • Experience with PostgresSQL

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a production support, platform

  • Expert-level proficiency in Java for backend service development and troubleshooting

  • Strong experience with Node.js for API development, scripting, and tooling

  • Strong experience with Python

  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining React applications used in operational or internal tooling contexts

  • Expertise with Kubernetes—deployment strategies, resource management, networking, RBAC, and debugging

  • Proven cloud experience on Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including managed services, IAM, and networking

  • Strong command of observability tooling (Grafana, Splunk, or equivalent)

  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven patterns


 

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

€65,000.00 - €165,000.00
