About the role:
Reporting to the Ostomy Care (OC) Regional Sales manager, the Sales Representative is growing the turnover and market share of the area. They are rolling-out the commercial policy on the market segment they are responsible for on the hospital network: users, prescribers, purchasers of public and private settings, in-home care and retirement homes.
The Sales Representative is supporting the healthcare professionals and bringing the appropriate information relative the good usage of the product range. He/she’s responsible of ConvaTec’s corporate image towards healthcare professionals and other stakeholders of the area.
The successful candidate must be based in the Lisbon metropolitan area.
Your main Roles and responsibilities:
Hospital
Prospect and develop priority targets (prescribers, purchasers)
Set-up information sessions for the hospital staff
Drive sales negotiations, prepare and manage tenders with the key stakeholders
Create and develop professional connections with opinion leaders in cooperation with ConvaTec Medical Department
Community
Prospect and develop priority targets (nurses)
Set and manage professional meetings
Both channels
Promote products and solutions of the ConvaTec Ostomy Care range
Roll-out action plans and campaigns
Drive and report the activity in the CRM tool
Capture and transmit vigilance alerts
Competition watch
Main contacts
Healthcare professionals (prescribers and purchasers) of hospital and community segments
Regional teams of resellers and service suppliers
Ostomy care ConvaTec regional teams
ConvaTec Iberia central teams (marketing, medical, regulatory affairs)
About you:
You have excellent communication skills
You are open to change and continuous improvement, perseverant, positive and bring dynamism and ethics to the team
You have a university degree, preferably in Business or Scientific fields (nursing will be valuable)
You have previous experience working in the sales of medical device products and/or prescription market
You are autonomous and have a proven track record of success in your previous professional activities
You have a strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong propensity for sale
You understand how to convince your interlocutors with your winning and dynamic manner as well as your scientific consulting competence to inspire your interlocutors for Convatec products
You can establish long-term, successful customer relationships
You are familiar with modern sales techniques and are driven by the desire for success
You have great analytical skills and are proficient in the use of MS-Office
You hold a valid driver’s license and availability for over night displacements
You have an intermediate level of English. Spanish is a plus.
