Software Engineer Level 3 - Job Requirements

General Description:

The team is looking for a Software Development Engineer, who will support development of new feature/functions of large applications including rewriting small parts of the system, improving system quality/stability to regular maintenance tasks. You would be part of the team that’s in charge of planning and executing projects and deliver the production ready software to the customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain web applications [Sabre Red 360] using React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML etc.
• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain Desktop Point of Sale & Robotic applications using Qik Programming language, JavaScript.
• Integrate web services using SOAP and RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Understanding and execution of APIs in tools like Postman, SOAP UI and other Internal tools.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap etc.
• Assist in database management and queries using specific database knowledge e.g. MySQL, Oracle DB.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with travel industry trends and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years of experience in software development is required.
• Experience in working with any of the programming languages Typescript, React, Node js etc.
• Good understanding in UI development aspects using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap etc.
• Good understanding of design patterns and OOPS concepts.
• Knowledge of Web services – SOAP & REST is a must.
• Knowledge and hands on experience in using XML & JSON.
• Exposure and understanding of Agile and SDLC development methodologies and Test-Driven Development.
• Exposure in using development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, Postman, SOAP UI, GitHub etc.
• Basic knowledge and understanding on databases like MySQL, Oracle DB etc.
• Good understanding on GIT/SVN code management repositories.
• Demonstrates effective teamwork skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work under pressure and handling complexity.
• Excellent Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Should be a great collaborator – work with solution management, customer support and delivery teams to facilitate the design and delivery of quality software.

Nice to have:

• Travel/Airline Industry background is desired. Experience with travel distribution/reservation systems (Sabre, Travelport, Amadeus) will be a big plus.
• Prior Experience on Sabre Red 360 Red App Development.
• Exposure in AWS/GCP Cloud environments.
• MAC OS Operating System.

Education:

• Graduate or above. [BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA or similar]
