Job Description

Marketing Associate (P1) – Oncology, HIV & Vaccines

As a Marketing Associate, you will support strategic and tactical marketing execution across the Oncology, HIV, and Vaccines portfolios. This role enables high-quality brand implementation, strong cross-functional collaboration, customer-centric initiatives, and effective coordination of promotional and non-promotional activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of local brand and franchise strategies aligned with global and regional guidance.

  • Localize and adapt global/digital materials to meet clinical, regulatory, and customer needs.

  • Track brand objectives, KPIs, and market dynamics to refine tactics.

  • Participate in forecasting and track utilization of promotional budgets.

  • Manage and approve promotional and non-promotional assets through Veeva PromoMats.

  • Coordinate with creative and digital agencies on content adaptation, asset development, and deployment.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and promotional standards.

  • Contribute to planning and execution of campaigns using L3Next or equivalent frameworks.

  • Drive marketing-led campaigns with strong KPI delivery and ongoing performance review.

  • Manage development, approval, deployment, and maintenance of digital collateral across our company platforms.

  • Apply test-and-learn approaches to improve content effectiveness and customer engagement.

  • Identify innovative ways to engage customers.

  • Provide customer groups with appropriate educational content to support confidence in prescribing/referring.

  • Support local and regional customer teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.

  • Support planning and execution of disease awareness initiatives across the HIV, Vaccines, and Oncology portfolios.

  • Support our company presence and preparations for local and regional scientific congresses and events (SA & SSA).

  • Coordinate deliverables for congresses and franchise-critical tactical projects.

  • Track and manage scientific leader engagement plans in collaboration with the BCM.

  • Support development of medical education and scientific engagement initiatives.

  • Work closely with Sales, Medical, CDx, Market Access, Communications, and Regulatory teams.

  • Support internal cycle meetings, strategy sessions, and monthly team/sales meetings.

  • Ensure cohesive cross-functional planning and executional excellence.

  • Uphold ethical and compliant execution of all brand activities.

  • Identify and communicate budget risks (under- or overspend).

  • Maintain accurate coding and approval processes for digital assets.

 

Qualifications

Required

·       Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Health Sciences, Business, Pharmacy, or a related field.

·       Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

·       Demonstrated success in brand planning, marketing execution, and understanding of value creation.

·       Experience working with promotional material approvals and agencies.

·       High proficiency in Veeva PromoMats, Salesforce, MS Office Suite.

 

Preferred

·       Some experience in brand management, congress planning, scientific leader engagement.

·       Ability to generate and analyse insights to enhance value delivery to HCPs, patients, and communities.

·       Strong digital marketing capability, including test-and-learn methodology.

·       Excellent communication across multiple channels with internal and external stakeholders.

·       Ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments and work effectively.

·       Strong organizational and project management skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects independently.

·       Creativity and agility in fast-moving environments.
