Job Summary:
The senior staff accountant is responsible for assisting the senior manager in managing the Company’s financial incentives earned on a by-vendor basis.
Responsibilities:
Forecast and evaluate vendor performance based on a series of metrics.
Collaborate with vendor management team relating to specific vendor performance.
Review draft agreements to provide strategic feedback on terms and review final agreements to ensure terms are properly tracked and evaluated.
Perform cost analytics to report to upper management and provide recommendations.
Perform account reconciliations, analysis and budgeting of select general ledger accounts.
Work directly with vendors to reconcile vendor reports and process vendor payments.
Ability to process large data sets to identify business insights and develop reporting to highlight and communicate opportunities to improve results to business leaders.
Assist the senior manager in ad hoc research assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
3-5 years staff accounting or finance experience.
Public accounting experience a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Analytical skills and proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
CPA or MBA certification preferred.
