The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The person hired for the Graphics Sales Specialist position will have Distribution (channel) sales responsibility in the state of Wisconsin, Illinois. This Specialist position will be responsible for growing the graphics and signage business by developing close business relationships with all Distributors, Graphic Manufacturers, Sign Companies and select Brand Owners in the territory. This position will also be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Territory Sales Plan, Account Plans, maintaining a healthy Sales Pipeline utilizing Salesforce CRM data, and achieving a growth forecast based in part by the implementation of corporate goals and directives. This position is ideal for individuals that have: Consultative field sales experience in the printing business, comfortable with hands on demonstration of products, worked with a Distribution Sales Model in the past and have familiarity with the Team Selling approach working in conjunction with other sales representatives both in the region and across the country. 

As a Graphics Sales Specialist the candidate will have an assigned exclusive territory and be responsible for all graphic and signage sales within its geographic borders. You will be required to grow sales and maintain relationships with a wide variety of business segments. Your job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop strong relationships with all Distributor management and Sales professionals
  • Hold a minimum of Quarterly business reviews with all Distributor Branches
  • Schedule periodic joint sales calls with all Distributor sales professionals 
  • Cultivate relationships with all graphic manufacturers, sign shops and end users in the territory
  • Maintain regular contact with all Franchise owned businesses (Fastsigns, Image360, Signarama etc.)
  • Be clear, concise and effective in written and oral communications
  • Work cross functionally with other teams (Marketing and Tech Service) to assist in corporate goals and objectives
  • Timely reporting and fiscal responsibility

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution & three (3) years field sales experience (graphics industry experience would be a plus) in a public, private or military environment.

-OR-

  • High School diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution & seven (7) years field sales experience (graphics industry experience would be a plus) in a public, private or military environment.

  • Consultative Selling experience
  • Self-motivated, self-starting
  • Dynamic presence with ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Documented track record for exceeding sales forecasts
  • Sales experience within graphics markets
  • Task and Goal oriented
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to changing markets and economic conditions
  • Adept at Salesforce, Outlook, XLSX, Powerpoint

Work location:

  • Sales candidate will be required to live in a centrally located city within the assigned territory of Illinois and Wisconsin.
  • Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

Travel: May include up to 40% or more domestic
