Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an accomplished Capital Markets to drive the design, delivery, and governance of capital markets technology initiatives. This role blends strategic technology leadership with hands-on delivery and requires oversight of cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions in a regulated financial services environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep domain awareness with strong architectural thinking, stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering complex technology programs that enable business growth and regulatory compliance.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential)

  • Strong experience with emerging technologies relevant to capital markets (e.g., blockchain concepts, AI-enabled analytics, data-driven solutions)

  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Excellent knowledge of software architecture and design patterns

  • Proven track record in leading technology projects and managing cross-functional teams

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Domain experience in capital markets, banking, or financial services

  • Certifications in relevant technologies or architecture (e.g., cloud, security, data analytics)

  • Familiarity with modern cloud platforms and infrastructure concepts

  • Lead the development and implementation of capital markets technology initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies

  • Domain experience in capital markets, banking, or financial services is preferred

  • Alternative pathways: extensive project leadership in related domains or relevant certifications

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Define program scope, objectives, and milestones; maintain project roadmaps

  • Lead cross-functional teams across development, QA, operations, and product management

  • Evaluate new technologies, conduct proofs-of-concept, and drive adoption

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement as needed

  • Facilitate design reviews, architecture discussions, and risk assessments

  • Monitor delivery progress, risks, and issues; escalate and resolve as necessary

  • Mentor team members, conduct performance conversations, and support career development

  • Ensure adherence to security, governance, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and technology leadership

  • Relevant certifications in architecture, cloud, security, or financial services domains are a plus

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
