Job Summary**

The Trainee Tool Room position at VALEO SYLVANIA ILUMINACION, S.de R.L de C.V. involves learning and assisting in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of various tools, dies, and molds used in manufacturing processes, ensuring their optimal functionality and contributing to production efficiency.

Job Responsibilities**

*DESIGN OF JIGS FOR ASSEMBLY LINES: Design various types of jigs for assembly line tooling on-site. 
 *Learn and apply the fundamental principles of tool and die manufacturing, including measurement, machining, and assembly techniques.
* Assist more experienced toolmakers in disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and assembling tools, dies, and molds.
* Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment in the tool shop.
* Assist in identifying and resolving common malfunctions in tools and dies.
* Assist in the fabrication of new tools, jigs, and fixtures according to instructions.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the tool shop.
* Diligently follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
* Document maintenance activities and tool usage as needed.
* Collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams.
* Continuously develop skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced staff.


Job Qualifications**


* Be a current student in your final semester of a mechanical or industrial engineering program.
* Basic knowledge of SolidWorks, CATIA design, and drafting.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in precision manufacturing.
* Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and diagrams (training will be provided).
* Knowledge of common hand tools and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical ability to lift and move objects, stand for long periods of time, and perform repetitive tasks.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
