About the Team:

FIS’s Enterprise Treasury services over 2,000 corporations in more than 40 countries by delivering a suite of liquidity management solutions focused on Treasury, Messaging and Payments.  Our Quantum solution is a highly sophisticated treasury system that helps corporations and financial institutions manage cash and risk including debt and investments, interest rate and currency movements and connectivity for complex treasury departments.  The global team is based in over 22 countries servicing Fortune 500 companies across the regions. 

The Role:

The role of the Treasury Director within the Consulting Services organization is to design, describe and manage the Treasury professional services team.

In addition, the role is to ensure that our projects are clearly and sufficiently scoped and designed before we commence build, thereby eliminating from the delivery phase questions over if or how we can configure Quantum to meet with the client requirements.

This in turn should help facilitate smoother projects by reducing unexpected changes to budgets and timelines.

The practice director will be involved in each stage of a project to a varying degree, from the pre-contract scoping phase all the way through to go-live.

The practice director will also engage with the internal stakeholders like Product Management team to ensure a clear understanding of both current and future functionalities.

In addition, understanding of complementary products around payment, SaaS treasury, understanding how Treasury products relates to these other products and working towards efficient and consistent integration solutions between the products.

The Treasury director should be strong in people management, good understanding of Treasury functionalities, features, and capabilities, as well as a good understanding of the Treasury landscape in which our clients operate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage consulting Practice to ensure projects meet customer needs, business requirements and future business growth objectives as well supporting overall FIS objectives and revenue and profitability goals,
  • Manage and grow consultants’ team and strategy to effectively execute business plan,
  • Ensures Practice Director provides industry thought leadership,
  • Manage consulting practice and personnel including engagement staffing, staff performance/evaluations, effective communication, career planning and succession planning,
  • Manage key FIS channel relationships such as sales, relationship management, product management, business unit management and others ensuring continued collaboration to drive results for Practice,
  • Provide direct sales support throughout entire sales cycle working closely with sales and account management to create and close opportunities including proposal/statement of work development, negotiating pricing, project planning and giving prospect presentations.
  • Analyzes management reports and implement strategies to improve business performance.
    Effectively pursues and applies best practices to advance business and company goals.
  • Promotes continuous improvement while seeking opportunities to grow the business, add value and maximize profit.
  • Manages staff utilization, schedules and performance standards.
  • Manages project profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Understands and adheres to FIS policies and procedures, as well as governing laws and regulations.
  • Complies with information security and risk management policies and take appropriate action to secure FIS’ business environment.

  • Overall experience of 18 years plus
  • Comprehensive experience in Delivery management.
  • Experience in handling delivery team.
  • Experience in consulting and/or software application implementations in a Treasury or Banking context.
  • Leadership, management, organizational, and team building skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with C-level management, peers and others.
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial institution operations, and risk management.
  • Proven understanding of the Corporate Treasury space.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of financial operational and business processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Project management, productivity, planning, and workload management skills.
  • Negotiation skills regarding complex issues
  • Ability to work well under pressure and keep emotions under control during difficult situations.
