Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled AR & Cash Application Senior Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS). This role will be responsible for managing the cash application process and supporting the accounts receivable function within our GBS organization. This position will focus on ensuring accurate and timely application of payments, managing customer account reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies to help optimize cash flow and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance teams, customer service, and sales, to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.

Accountabilities

• Process incoming payments, including checks, wire transfers, ACH, and credit card payments.
• Apply cash to customer accounts in the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all cash receipts are properly recorded, reconciled, and posted according to company policies.
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes related to payments and billing issues.
• Work closely with the customer service and sales teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure that accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
• Provide analysis on payment trends, cash application errors, and overall AR performance.
• Assist in the preparation of cash forecasts, AR aging reports, and KPI metrics.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
• Provide feedback on automation or system enhancements to improve workflows.
• Support the AR Manager in maintaining a high standard of performance across the AR function.
• Act as a point of contact for escalated issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the AR& Coash Application process, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and operations, to optimize the AR& Cash Application process and enhance overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable and collections.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on AR & Collections performance, providing insights into outstanding balances, cash flow, and collection effectiveness to senior management.
• Act as a key point of contact for escalated issues related to accounts receivable and collections, facilitating resolutions and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4 -7 years of experience in AR, Billing, and Cash Application.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation

Technical Skills and Knowledge

Essential:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with financial software and Oracle
• Solid understanding of credit and collection management processes and best practices.

Languages

• Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
