Job Purpose:

The Starch Baler plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the corrugator's starch system. This position ensures that excess starch waste is properly processed, baled, and disposed of in accordance with safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Job Responsibilities:

● Periodically double-check measurements.
● Occasionally maintain and clean mechanisms.
● Operate baler.
● Bale all waste generated by corrugator as well as waste from trimmed roll stock.
● Drive forklift to pickup waste from various locations around the plant.
● Fill out waste report daily.
● Fill carrier and borax hopper when needed.
● Follow formula for mixing adhesive manually and monitor system when running on auto.
● Check starch parameters as to viscosity, gel temp, and temperature on finished batches and holding tanks.
● Record consumption data.
● Check production run sheet for starch requirement's type and amount.
● Record all QC information.
● Put empty cores in the core bin.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot mechanical equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed
• Pay is $20.15/hr

● 0-1 years of related job experience.

Education:

● High School Diploma Preferred
