The Senior System Analyst will be responsible for executing in depth analysis on complex projects as well as influence with business partners to develop recommendations that address business needs and opportunities.  Additionally, the candidate will be skilled in negotiating business priorities through partnership with product owners and translating needs back to the team for timely delivery. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and software development teams during the Planning, Design, Development, and Test phases of a project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing, and developing systems, processes and procedures that address complex business requirements.
  • Gathering, reviewing, analyzing, and translating business requirements and functions into well-organized systems designs, user stories and actionable solutions
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, product teams, project management teams, engineering teams, and external vendors.
  • Create technical documents (flow diagrams, state & sequence diagrams, etc.), as well as processes and procedures documentations.
  • Assists with gap identification, gap prioritization and gap solution design efforts after business requirements gathering and initial systems configuration and systems
  • Collaborates with internal and external technical teams to plan, design, and develop solutions.
  • Lead efforts to identify areas of improvement in existing business process and applications
  • Develop expertise and become the Subject Matter Expert on the applications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues, working with vendor for product support, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing issues to resolution

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 7+ years of experience as a System Analyst or in a similar role

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a System Analyst or in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server and Cassandra
  • Strong Experience in data-mapping using XML and JSON
  • Solid understanding of REST and SOAP API Integrations patterns
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as MS Azure
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical teams, business teams, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be an organized, self-starter with a collaborative work style and customer service focus.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $128,435.00 - $151,100.00 - $166,210.00
