Location: Naperville, IL
Full time - 36 hours
Hours: Nights 7pm - 7am rotating holidays and rotating weekends
What you will do:
The OB Technician performs both clerical and nursing care duties within the Family Birthing Center. The OB Technician provides assistance during births, scrubs for c-sections and minor surgeries, performs secretarial duties in the Birth Center and functions as a Nursing Assistant. Floats between all units within the Family Birthing Center. Functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
What you will need:
High School diploma or GED required
Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
Certificate from an accredited nursing assistant training course (CNA) or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or completion of one nursing clinical rotation required
Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions
Required to attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks
Successful completion of the OB Technician’s Scrub Class, offered by the OB department
