Job Description

Corewell Health West is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our growing team at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital’s OB Triage unit. This is a Casual - PRN position.  Our 11-bed triage unit provides excellent basic and emergent obstetric care to patients >20 weeks within one of the busiest obstetric units in the country.  Our APP run unit allows independent assessment and treatment with a safety net of inpatient physicians nearby. Additionally, CNM's have the ability to work on the Labor and Delivery unit and perform full scope hospitalist work in addition to teaching obstetric residents.

Candidate Must Have:

  • 3 years experience in Women’s Health in an advanced practice provider role, in a similar inpatient, high acuity environment. We are not able to consider applicants who do not meet these qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a collaborative role
  • Passion for obstetric care and women’s health
  • Willingness to teach OB/GYN residents

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
  • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required
  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
