Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a C-17 & KC-46 Base Manager to support the efforts at Travis Air Force Base. Manager shall provide on-site leadership in support of problem identification and resolution to support the Operational and Logistics Wing Customers. This position reports to the C-17 & KC46 Field Services Senior Manager, as part of the Field Operations capability. As the base manager, responsibilities will include direct oversight of the Recovery and Modifications Services (RAMS) team on-site.  This position will also have indirect oversight of other on-site capabilities at Travis Air Force Base supporting the local customer, including Logistics support, Field Engineering support, and Field Service Representative support.  An additional responsibility is oversight of the C17 Aircrew Training operation at the base. Position is located in Travis Air Force Base, CA.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing customer support, logistics, technical, retrofit, repair, modification and maintenance activities within Product Support.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in management, leadership and business operations

  • 3+ years of experience in leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent leadership experience

  • 1+ years’ experience with the C17 Aircraft

  • Experience working directly with USAF

Summary pay range: $115,600 – $156,400
