Your Job:
The Team Leader Diagnostic will lead, directs, and evaluates the activities of 35 professionals. You will be responsible for selecting, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating staff for the diagnostic department. You will perform all the behaviors of the staff technologist and support staff. This individual plans, coordinates, and maintains the QA/KVI program for their assigned area(s) of responsibility as well as supervising and performing quality control testing of equipment and accessories used in the department.
Your Job Requirements:
• Approved Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• 2 years minimum broad experience within the field of Radiology and/or other supervisory/management experience.
• Certifications: ARRT, MRT, CPR.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience needed. Trauma and OR work experience a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with various levels of staff.
Your Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for assisting in development, communication and implementation of hospital policies / guidelines within the department.
• Responsible for maintaining cost containment efforts and revenue generating measures.
• Assists the Director in meeting Departmental financial goals.
• Responsible to ensure that the operating practices and quality of services rendered by department meet the requirements and guidelines as set forth by various licensing, the accrediting and regulatory agencies.
• Responsible to ensure full coverage by competent personnel during the operating hours of the department.
• Assumes the duties of a Technologist when necessary.
• Responsible to ensure that all interviewing, selection, orientation, evaluation, promotions, and termination of departmental Personnel fall within the guidelines of hospital policies and the guidelines established by governmental licensing and regulatory agencies.
• Responsible to ensure that appropriate equipment and supplies are available for the employees to carry out the functions of the department.
• Maintains interdepartmental, as well as intradepartmental communications.
• Meets with the Administrative and Medical Director to develop and implement new programs within the department and to discuss the effect these programs will have on other areas of the hospital.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
