Reference Data Management (RDM) is an organization within the Information Services Group (ISG), a service-centric organization supporting Citi Services, Markets and Banking. RDM provides centralized data and operations platforms spanning accounts, pricing, securities, corporate actions, know-your-customer, and loans pledging.

In addition to supporting domain-specific data and operational requirements, at a broader level, Reference Data Management (RDM) provides the tooling driving the Data Governance activities for Services, Markets and Banking. The Data Catalog is a centralized metadata solution to be leveraged by up to 3,000 applications to store, govern, and access metadata for their systems. Metadata includes the information about the data stored and used by an application, such as data dictionaries, data models, data lineage between systems, etc. This information is essential to promote knowledge sharing and transfer by interested parties, and to ensure compliance with Data Governance policies set by Citi's Chief Data Office. Beyond supporting data discovery, the Data Catalog tools, and standardized metadata, are systemically consumed and used to drive data transfer in multiple formats between systems within Citi, as well as externally to Cloud-based solutions used by Citi's clients.
