A Day in the Life

Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions, established over ten years ago, partners with hospitals to improve operational efficiency and drive transformational change focusing on catheterization labs, operating rooms, care pathways, and team development.

Reporting to the General Manager at the NGC Medical office in Turate (CO), the Associate Convention Specialist, Enterprise Accounts & Integrated Health Solutions supports the Integrated Health Solutions business in Italy by managing Health Care Professionals (HCP) and Health Care Organizations (HCO) -related activities, sponsorship, events, grants and other very critical tasks in terms of compliance and company responsibilities. The role also includes coordination of indirect sourcing for NGC Medical and the execution of other compliance and admin. activities. The role collaborates with Business Development, Operating Units, Enterprise Accounts, Finance and other departments within Medtronic. The position requires working in the NGC Medical office in Turate (Como) 3 days a week, offering significant flexibility.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Manage all HCP/HCO–related activities—including sponsorships, events, and grants—ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards and company obligations
  • Coordinate and execute company participation in national and international congresses and conventions
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to evaluate and select strategic events
  • Develop plans and budgets and produce detailed cost and performance reports
  • Work with vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit
  • Handle indirect sourcing activities for NGC Medical (approximately 15% of role scope)
  • Perform additional compliance and administrative duties, such as monthly data submissions to authorities and fulfilling transparency and regulatory reporting requirements (approximately 15% of role scope)

 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Compliance, or a related field
  • Experience in convention services or administrative/support roles
  • Strong compliance mindset with the ability to ensure full adherence to regulations and company policies
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple timelines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and event participants
  • Proficiency with event management tools and platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, or similar)
  •  Fluent in English and Italian, with strong verbal and written communication abilities
