SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE AS A SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEERING MANAGER YOU WILL…..

    • Lead the SE Center of Excellence (CoE): Drive the development and success of the CoE to support the core SE business, focusing on repeatable fleet life-cycle management and pre and post sales tasks
    • Demonstrate effective people development: Develop and nurture the skills of your team within the CoE, ensuring they are equipped to handle complex technical challenges and support the core SE organization
    • Act as an employee advocate: Focus on team and people development, demonstrating high emotional intelligence (EQ) and fostering a supportive work environment within the CoE
    • Drive operational excellence: Lead the creation and validation of technical demand, ensuring the CoE operates efficiently and effectively to support the core SE business.
    • Lead by example, living the Pure Values: Persistence, Creativity, Teamwork, Ownership, and Customer-first
    • Understand customer needs: Develop a deep understanding of what drives a customer’s business and what motivates their decision-making processes to better align CoE initiatives with core SE goals
    • Refine strategy and tactics: Develop and refine strategies and tactics within the CoE to support the technical responsibilities of the core SE business
    • Enhance pre-sales and post-sales efforts: Ensure the CoE effectively supports both pre-sales and post-sales activities, optimizing customer engagement and satisfaction
    • Drive technical account management: Oversee technical account management to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support of Pure Storage solutions, fostering strong customer relationships
    • Promote adoption of new capabilities and products: Support strategies to drive the adoption of new capabilities and products among customers, ensuring they realize the full value and benefits

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers
    • 8+ years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers
    • Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
    • Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
    • Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
    • Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
    • Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
    • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
    • BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience

As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
