OVERVIEW:

Testing is a competitive advantage at SharkNinja!  We make better products through our testing efforts.

The Ninja Test Department’s role is to ensure our customers get the highest-reliability products possible.  We do this through extensive testing of our products as we develop them.  This co-op role will assist the engineers and management of the Ninja Test Team in developing and performing tests to make better products. 

We are looking for passionate engineering students that have an interest in product development and product testing.  You will be responsible for designing and building electro-mechanical test fixtures that enable us to measure performance and reliability for SharkNinja’s current and future products.  This is an opportunity to use your creative skills to solve open-ended problems and learn about how consumer products are made and tested.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

  • Design and build electro-mechanical automated test fixtures that enable us to evaluate products
  • Create new testing protocols
  • Perform data analysis using statistical tools to identify trends
  • Document results and opportunities for future improvements
  • Assist in the teardown of Ninja and competitor products

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

  • An inquisitive personality – a builder or tinkerer mindset
  • Software programming experience (C++, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.
  • The ideal candidate will have completed 2+ years in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program while maintaining a 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA or better
  • Willingness to learn how to use new lab equipment
  • Ability to work full time January to June onsite in Needham, MA
  • A natural and effective communicator capable of taking abstract concepts to reality in both oral and written form
  • Attention to detail in everything you do
  • Comfortable expressing points of view that may challenge conventional thinking
