THE TEAM

The Enterprise Systems team designs and builds the company's foundational enterprise and business systems. We're dynamic and agile, and act as the glue between multiple teams. We focus on integrating systems and automating processes to eliminate manual work, ensure accurate information dissemination, and improve general communication among various departments. On a daily basis, this team interacts with our customer-centric technology team, various operational teams, and our accounting & finance teams. We work hard, but we never forget to have fun, mostly because our dogs refuse to let us get too serious.

WHO WE’RE SNIFFING FOR 

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Data Engineer.  The SDE will report to the Director of Enterprise Systems, and is responsible for managing key systems that support revenue recognition and financial dashboards.  The engineer will support an existing enterprise platform built on Ruby-on-Rails as well as serving as a point person for maintaining existing data integrations .  In addition to supporting key data functions within the business, the role will help support a larger initiative around master data management and standardization of data across the ERP and other systems the ERP interacts with. 

KEY DUTIES 

• Support the foundation of the existing data platforms, which include but are not limited to Periscope, Redshift, Tableau, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Analyze key SQL queries that support revenue recognition, and assist the finance teams with their closing processes
• Collaborate with cross functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Planning) to ensure data is accurate, standardized/normalized, and accessible
• Serve as a resident expert of data integrations, reviewing data as it travels through the BARK tech stack, and review any and all ETL processes in place
• Build new reporting to support revenue, gross margin and planning reporting, particularly during period closing with strict deadlines
• Support an existing Ruby on Rails platform, as well as integrations with Shopify to the data warehouse, for purposes of revenue recognition

EXPERIENCE 

• Solid background and minimum 5 years experience in SQL, Python and Ruby-on-Rails languages, with ability to troubleshoot existing code and script new features
• Extensive experience working with enterprise data warehouses, experience with Redshift and Big Query are strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms, preferably building KPI dashboards.  Tableau and/or Looker preferred
• Experience in retail and/or consumer packaged goods companies strongly preferred

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

• Significant attention to detail,with ability to think outside the box and solve complex problems.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and enforce change across cross functional teams
• Finance/Accounting experience strongly desired, but not required

COMPENSATION:

• The base salary range for this position is ₱1,211,200 - ₱ 2,266,220

**This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills and expertise.
