ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.

  • Administer the assignment of dray moves to the most effective capacity type (Werner assets or 3rd party dray carriers). This includes the prioritization of loads based on customer requirements,commitments, equipment utilization, profitability, and revenue generation.
  • Establish and retain key relationships with 3rd party carriers while holding them accountable to capacity, rate, and performance commitments.
  • Hit key performance indicators surrounding carrier arrival/departure times, BOL indexing, obtaining ETA’s, and managing ramp storage.
    Advise Operations Supervisor of issues or needs as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Work with Dray Asset Planner to maximize the production and profitability of Werner asset trucks.
  • Work with the Equipment Team to manage the day-to-day utilization of railyard and customer equipment pools to maximize asset utilization and balance.
