Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Physician Assistant, Orthopedics/Inpatient
  • Location: Skokie Hospital, Skokie, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: (3) 12-hour night shifts between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.1 Saturday per month and 1-2 holidays per year required.
  • Required Travel: Rare travel to Evanston Hospital may be required.

What you will do:

  • Provide comprehensive health care services under the direction and supervision of an assigned physician.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment to patients specific to their area of expertise.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Perform independent evaluation and treatment procedures in emergency situations in accordance with policies established

What you will need:

  • License:  Current Physician Assistant License in the State of Illinois required.  DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
  • Education: Bachelor degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Certification:  CPR certification required
  • Experience:  One year of Physician Assistant experience preferred. Ortho experience a plus.
