Job Description

Manulife Investment Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in 2007 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manulife. With Singapore being a hub for wealth management in Asia, our principal function is to provide investment management and related services to Manulife Singapore, including the management of the General Accounts, and develop and deliver solutions to institutions, retail and high net-worth clients

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the processes of client’s instructions which include but not limited to mutual fund subscription, redemption, switching, settlement, transfer and are enforcement of and adherence to the cut-off time of Funds and requirement from Fund’s transfer agency.
  • Support the overall Wealth Operations function including client onboarding, including supporting KYC/AML, name search, and client’s suspicious transactions reporting
  • Support sales channel specific client account maintenance activities and static data updates that need to be completed in Manulife systems
  • Ensure that all processes are completed fully, timely and accurately while adhering to company policies, procedures as well as regulatory requirements
  • Provide excellent client service answering to queries from client and agents with a sense of purpose and urgency
  • Effective collaboration with various internal stakeholder groups like Sales, Product, Compliance, Legal and Risk
  • Provide required reports and updates to internal stakeholders as required
  • Ensure to achieve business and team goals which assigned by supervisor/ management
  • Participate business initiatives and project to support the business growth

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with over 3 years’ relevant working experience, particularly in multiple product platform distribution operations/ wealth management operations of a Singapore Asset Management company
  • Experience in process and oversight of funds distribution operations including digital channels
  • Experience in process and oversight for settlement, cash movement, cash reconciliation and control including but not only limited to settlement payment with fund houses, investors and relevant fee payments from investors and funds houses.
  • Experience and knowledge in AML/ KYC including FATCA and CRS reporting; experience with Transfer Agency, operations of und distributor and Portfolio Accounting system an advantage
  • Proactive/can-do approach and positive attitude. Thorough attention to detail and accuracy of delivery.
  • IT and Software skills. Proactive attitude to enhance processes and increase efficiencies by exploring PowerApps, AI tool etc
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
