Position Highlights:

  • Position: Registered Nurse, Mammography
  • Location: Highland Park Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

What you will do:

  • Under the directions of the Staff Radiologist and/or Mammography Lead and Mammography Supervisor, the nurse provides quality care utilizing the nursing process while in the Department of Radiology.
  • Will be involved in all aspects of patient care in Mammography and will provide nursing care during special procedures.
  • Will be responsible for scheduling biopsies and procedures coordinating with ancillary services as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with any regulatory body standards
  • Performs a variety of nursing and clerical duties to streamline Department of Mammography cases, requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.  Assumes responsibility for specific special procedures examinations and/or may be assigned duties, as requested.

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred
  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Certification: Certification for ACLS. BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider).
  • Experience: Minimum one year critical care experience preferred.  Evidence of professional competence based on references related to experience.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Familiarity with ACLS drug protocol.  Must be able to build and maintain good communications and working relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff and members of the community. Strong computer skills.
