Your main responsibility will be to assist in managing and coordinating the security and safety services for all Citi businesses. The key goal of the position is to maintain a safe environment for clients and employees, to protect the company's assets and to respond to security incidents, while protecting the company’s integrity and reputation.
You will be responsible to ensure the local security program and procedures conform to the Citi Security Policy and Citi Security Standards.
You will need to ensure the program meets business requirements and local legal and regulatory requirements.
You will need to be familiar with the incident response plans and assist the business during physical security and safety incidents, including crisis events.
Your reporting line will be to the local CSIS Country Security Manager.
Responsibilities:
- This role will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of Citi by interacting with multiple businesses across the enterprise
- This role will leverage subject matter expertise, whether that is physical security and safety, crisis management, security technology, event security/logistics or vendor management
- Responsible for the daily security functions at the Citi facility or Citi occupied property assigned to by the Area Security Manager
- Direct and oversee security and safety activities of site staff, enact supervision and management in an effort to safeguard premises and employees against risk of unauthorized entry, fire, theft, vandalism, and opportunities for criminal activities
- Enforce security rules and safety standards and review security-related problems and ensure that appropriate measures to correct procedures in effort to reduce risk and exposure to risk
- Participate in training, Operational readiness exercises and ensure that you are well practiced and rehearsed in the execution of security operations, drills, assignments and the day- to-day functioning of security systems
- Report any issues with CSIS systems and equipment to ensure a state of perpetual readiness enough to meet or surpass requirements of both internal and/or external audits
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, 5+ years security management experience in a corporate, regulatory, consultancy or law enforcement environment. However, serious consideration will be given to candidates without security management experience who possess strong banking operations knowledge, in an audit, controls, risk or compliance capacity or candidates with crisis management experience (Required).
- A reasonable understanding of security operations, processes, and controls with demonstrated experience in designing a security program at facility level (Required).
- A reasonable understanding of applicable local laws/statutes as they relate to security (Required).
- Demonstration of verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency in one official local language. (Required).
- Demonstrated ability to find agile solutions to manage a dynamic threat or risk (Desired).
- An understanding of the security risks in the relevant cities and countries and the geo-political risks that might impact the country. (Required)
- Demonstrate the ability to understand who the key internal and external stakeholders are, and how to build relationships and networks to manage stakeholder relationships. (Required)
- Ability to travel, often at short notice (Required).
- Ability to multitask by prioritizing and triaging multiple security incidents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a desire to continually develop own skills.
- MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency.
- Demonstrates an appreciation of a diverse workforce.
- Willingness to take on feedback and adapt to CSIS methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications and/or apprenticeships/ vocational training programs.
- Professional security qualification or certification will be an advantage.
