Description

To be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining  technology solutions that align with our business goals and requirements, particularly to be responsible to lead, design and implement software applications for aircraft domain.

Possesses a good knowledge of Full Stack development, Software development LifeCycle and has the agility to transition between front/back end technologies. The jobholder engages in all phases of the product development (DevOps & Agile mind-set) to keep the Airbus IT landscape running smoothly, reliably, and efficiently.

Qualification & Experience

• Engineering graduate with 2-7 years of experience in design, develop & maintenance of automations
• 2-5 years on scripting/tool development in any technology (fullstack, backend preferably Python, PERL, shell)
• 2 years of experience in designing automations
• Knowledge on Unix/Linux server, shell scripting is a must. 
• Knowledge in designing solutions for hybrid platforms - HPC, on-prem and cloud is a plus.
• Understanding of interconnected multi cluster HPC environments is desirable
• Knowledge of Infiniband setups and MPI
• Understanding of HPC application envelope requirements and scalability (core vs memory vs IO)
• Knowledge of HPC benchmarking practices
• Knowledge of application performance optimizations on various infrastructure would be beneficial.
• Middleware solutions for workload management and scheduling  knowledge is a plus. eg. LSF, Slurm, PBSpro etc.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL server, PostgreSQL etc). NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
• Basic knowledge on DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkin’s, Sonarqube, Kibana, CAST, Confluence, Jira/VersionOne etc. 
• Understanding of the Container technologies Docker and Kubernetes, Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs are expected.
• Experience of app modernization and knowledge of different development frameworks & tools available in the market is a plus.
• Knowledge of test frameworks in both frontend and backend technologies. 
• Knowledge of SAFe agile methodology and workflow, preferably using VersionOne/JIRA.
• Ability to collaborate with a diversity of customer teams to address important issues and to resolve them.
• Experienced in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, adaptation and learning of the business processes speak of the customer.
• Experienced in working within a product delivery lifecycle, Agile/scrum experience in software development (plus).
• Basic knowledge & understanding of AWS services is expected. 
• Strong knowledge of code quality analysis tools. Ability to analyze code from suppliers and share feedback with them.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the various COTs and in-house developed tools used in hybrid platforms and optimize their performance.

• Design, develop, maintain a software application.

• Flexibility to switch between the different technologies/frameworks. 

• Modernize, re-architect, rewrite the existing code as in when needed.  

• Develop and deploy the application changes using DevOps pipeline. 

• Manage and update application operational documentation, application knowledge articles. 

• Produce high quality, well tested and documented source code.

• Work as part of an agile team inside the SAFe methodology.

• Works closely with customers in line with Agile Scrum/DevOps ways of working (e.g. gathering requirements, creating technical specifications and architecture documents, creating good documentation, managing a project timeline).

• Develops design specifications and parameters that are in compliance with products’ architectural blueprints.

• Track record of successfully deploying and managing configuration management systems.

• Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, test and integration of products.

• Researches, evaluates, and develops new tools to improve product development efficiency.

• Deploys highly available, scalable, maintainable, monitored systems and services.

• Manages the adoption of tooling and industry best practices among development teams

• Should be able to technically lead multiple projects, teams if needed.

• Willingness to adapt and support during European working hours (CET) based on need. 

• Willingness to travel for short & long term if needed.
