Director of Business Development

Position Overview:

The Director of Business Development at Sanimax will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our business, focusing on strategic and professional relationships with restaurant chains, independent restaurants, food manufacturers, and other key clients. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication, and negotiation skills. The Director will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction, overseeing procurement teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across the USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

· Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with major clients, including restaurant chains, independent restaurants, and food manufacturers. Directly manage key client accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.

· Industry Engagement: Represent Sanimax at industry functions to build and nurture relationships with potential clients and partners.

· Team Leadership: Oversee the Procurement teams in the USA, ensuring alignment with business goals. Collaborate with other functional teams, including transportation, customer service, operations, finance, and People & Culture, across the USA and Canada to drive business success.

· Business Growth: Support the growth of volumes and profitability across our business segments in the USA. Develop and implement strategies to increase market share while maintaining competitive pricing and acceptable margins.

· Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to ensure clear and consistent communication of procurement strategies and tactics. Maximize the quality of execution through effective collaboration.

· Financial Accountability: Assume responsibility for the US RS Business's Profit and Loss (P&L). Prepare budgets, monitor financial performance, and conduct analyses to guide decision-making. Manage yield variances and product quality to optimize profitability.

· Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to drive strategic decisions. Continuously explore new opportunities to enhance the business.

· Proven experience in business development, with a strong focus on the food industry.
