DIW Sr. Engineer

• Perform data analysis of BigQuery data and assist subject matter experts with SQL / data analysis related questions.
• Define which data is extracted and the rules by which it is transformed for simple to moderately complex projects.
• Participate in the design and implementation of enterprise data model and metadata structures.
• Participate in the Architecture assessment and design for infrastructure domains that provide core capabilities for the enterprise.
• Participate in architecture design of integrated systems across site or regional projects and programs.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of current and planned state architecture blue prints.
• Applies an enterprise-wide view to solutions to support the adoption of standards and practices and promote reuse.
• Assist in the development and alignment of the digital roadmaps with the Digital and Business strategy.
• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer engineering, Information technology, Analytics, Data science, Statistics, Marketing, or other related field plus 9+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

Required:

• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GCP BigQuery
• Solid experience with SQL and data analysis
• Experience of an extract, transfer, and load (ETL) tool or some experience with FiveTran
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be fluent in English

Desired:

• Some experience working with digital marketing behavioral data (Google Analytics/AdWords/Salesforce)
• Experience with Google Analytics 4 data
• GCP Certification(s)
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with BI Dashboards or Google Looker
• Familiarity with data analytics tools
• Have demonstratable experience in one or more of the following: massive real-time event and message processing, data lakes, Big Data transformations and analytics
• Understanding of enterprise data integration and analytical platforms
