Job Description:

This key position is responsible for the daily production and work activity of the soft line team. This position oversees safety, quality, and production while utilizing systems and metrics to make strategic decisions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train, support and develop Soft Line employees to maximize their performance

  • Assign work duties and outline performance expectations to Soft Line employees 

  • Track employee performance, attendance, vacation and work hours

  • Administer feedback and performance reviews to employees 

  • Complete shift hand off meetings and shift notes 

  • Work with Soft Line Production Manager to determine consequences for adverse actions of Soft Line employees when necessary 

  • Lead improvement projects as identified by management 

  • Assist in covering breaks 

  • Monitor and maintain accurate production line inventory of raw materials and finished product

  • Retain knowledge of Oracle, Maximo, and other company computer based programs 

  • Perform work in any area of the Soft Lines as needed 

  • Perform Lockout Tagout

  • Handle chemicals

  • Participate in the Cambria provided First Aid/CPR/AED training

  • Keep work area clean and orderly 

  • Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Soft Line Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Additional duties as assigned by management 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation 

  • Ability to become certified in Lockout Tagout

  • Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling

  • Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation

  • Basic computer skills 

Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent related experience

Experience: N/A

Systems: Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing field

  • 3-5+ years of proven leadership ability 

  • Experience with Oracle, Tableau and other metric based software 

  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills 

  • Basic math skills

  • Mechanically inclined 

  • Industrial work experience

Physical Requirements: 

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Push/pull 100 lbs.

  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks

  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria 

  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises 

  • Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions 

  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment 

  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift 

  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift

Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: 

  • Steel toed boots

  • Hearing Protection 

  • Safety glasses

  • Cut-proof gloves

  • Respirator 

  • Face shield

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $24.00 - $30.75. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
