Overview:
Responsible for the profitability and strategic direction of Debit Cards and Credit Cards sold through the Retail channels. Ensures product/services are marketable, profitable and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of the Debit Card and Credit Card businesses and their functions, processes, and operations.
Combine technical understanding with business knowledge to anticipate impacts of strategy and process change.
Work with Retail sales channels and support areas to develop education materials and training to drive account originations.
Serve as business lead on projects that are sponsored by, or related to Debit Cards and Credit Cards
Review new developments in company markets, evaluating and recommending new services or new products, or the modification of existing services or products.
Seek out and evaluate customer and banker feedback to recommend and prioritize future product enhancements and initiatives.
Evaluate new product/services success; recommend changes in sales or service strategy. R
Maintain an awareness of new trends and developments in marketing and company products and services.
Performs reporting and analysis relating to the product portfolio.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
3 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience
Education and Experience Preferred:
Project Management skills
Customer Service or Sales experience
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Highly organized with an ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as contribute on an individual basis
Working Model/Office Location:
This is a hybrid location requiring 3 days in-office per week. Eligible candidates must live within commuting distance to 345 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $60,890.34 - $101,483.90 Annual (USD).
