Job Description: 

In this position, you will be responsible for the planning, design, development, implementation, reconfiguration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Facilities Management Systems (FMS), including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA platforms, instrumentation, operational technology (OT) infrastructure, and software applications that support facilities operations and end users. You will own the reliability, availability, cybersecurity, and efficiency of facilities automation systems while driving continuous improvement, digital transformation, and operational excellence across multiple facilities disciplines. Responsibilities include developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications, automation tools, dashboards, and system integrations used by facilities teams and end users. These solutions may span frontend and backend development and integrate with PLCs, HMIs, historians, IoT platforms, enterprise applications, databases, and other OT and IT systems. You will utilize modern software development methodologies, programming languages, and engineering best practices to design secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. This includes analyzing business and operational requirements, translating user needs into technical solutions, developing functional and test code, implementing automated deployment and configuration processes, and performing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure system reliability and performance. You will support facilities instrumentation, PLC programming, controls architecture, software lifecycle management, system integration, data analytics, and automation initiatives while responding to customer and operational events. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, system owners, project teams, vendors, and end users to define requirements, optimize system performance, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational visibility, efficiency, and reliability. You will develop solutions to complex technical challenges by applying formal engineering principles, software development expertise, and sound judgment. The position includes leading and supporting project design, construction, commissioning, startup activities, and long-term sustainment of both facilities control systems and digital solutions.

Qualifications:

Electronics/electricity/communication systems Engineer who has completed the I and C (Instrumentation and Control) course. 3-8 years of experience as an I and C engineer in industry, including knowledge of plant I and C systems design principles. Knowledge and hands-on experience with instrumentation selection, installation, and troubleshooting. Knowledge and proficiency in PLC and HMI configuration and programming. Proven, hands-on capability with RSLogix 5000 (RS5000) and Ladder Diagram (LD) programming. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including application of structured problem-solving methods and tools. Ability to work effectively both independently (with minimal direction) and as part of a larger team. Additional qualifications: Ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations to upper management. Ability to work on diverse tasks under pressure. Ability to work efficiently and influence within virtual factory teams. Strong self-learning capability. Flexibility and a change-agent mindset. Strong customer-orientation and customer-service approach. Experience with project planning, coordination, and integration. Good multitasking skills. Strong teamwork and communication skills. IoT experience - hands-on familiarity with industrial IoT architectures, sensor integration, gateways, and edge data pipelines. Wireless connectivity technologies - working knowledge of modern communication methods such as LoRaWAN and Private 5G, including deployment and troubleshooting in a plant/facilities environment. Robotics experience - familiarity with autonomous/robotic platforms (e.g., AMRs, quadrupeds/SPOT, drones) for inspections, rounds and readings, and operational support. Networking and infrastructure - knowledge of Cisco switches and industrial network infrastructure, including network topology, segmentation, and OT/IT connectivity. OT systems and cybersecurity awareness - understanding of operational technology environments, network segmentation, and cyber considerations for facilities/industrial control systems. Emerging technology mindset - exposure to digital-transformation and automation initiatives (AI/analytics, predictive/condition-based maintenance, edge vision), with a drive to pilot and scale new solutions.
