Job Description

  • Explores and implements new ways to automate systems.

  • Designs and tests automation equipment and processes.

  • Programs new automated components.

  • Maintains project budget.

  • Collaborates with other business units.

  • Supports and assists with launch teams when time permits.

  • Stays close to current manufacturing equipment and practices.

  • Research and develop new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve current throughput, scrap/rework reduction, reduce cost, improve quality and improve reliability.

  • Works with prototype to confirm manufacturing estimates and test proposed manufacturing processes.

  • All ther duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience (co-ops and internships included).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% U.S. & International
  • Experience with robotics, AI, and machine learning.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.
  • Proficient with GD&T, Process Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Machining, Controls, and Automation experience preferred.
  • Experience in a plant manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in the Automotive industry preferred.
