The Department
The Corporate Communications group leads external communications on behalf of CAA, including media relations, speaking engagements, advertising, and marketing materials. In addition, they manage internal communications, such as the company Intranet, companywide announcements, and companywide meetings. The department includes a Digital Marketing team, responsible for CAA’s social media and web presence; and a Creative Services group executing video, graphic design and other creative projects.
The Role
Creative Artists Agency is hiring a social media strategist to help grow and evolve our social media presence, building strategies that amplify our brand and reinforce our position at the forefront of entertainment and culture. The strategist will oversee multiple CAA-branded accounts, provide counsel on best practices to key internal partners, and help drive social media innovation and impact across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow CAA’s presence on social media through both existing and new accounts and platforms
Develop ambitious new social strategies and content franchises to strengthen our digital storytelling
Partner with colleagues across the organization to curate content and ensure social media efforts support the company’s communications and business goals
Oversee content planning and community management
Collaborate with creative colleagues to create engaging, high-quality social media content across platforms
Advise social media administrators across the company on best practices, social media trends and innovation
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience developing and executing social media strategies in the entertainment industry
Data-driven creativity, with the ability to develop winning content strategies informed by analytics and best practices
Knowledge of — and passion for — the entertainment, sports and media ecosystems
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Sophisticated aesthetic sensibility and understanding of design principles
Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously and against deadline
Experience with content creation tools, such as Canva and short form video editing tools, preferred
Experience with Instagram, and LinkedIn
Strong relationship building skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
Location
This role will be based in our Los Angeles office.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $85,000 - $100,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
