This position will provide mechanical support to the Elgin, IL plant. Qualified candidates must have 3-5 years maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This plant is a climate-controlled facility. The candidate must be a team player and be willing to share knowledge. The candidate will be required to work with all team members undertaking any, and all roles from leading a task to cleaning up after a task. A successful team member will have an extremely good work ethic, great punctuality, and attendance record. Must have solid computer knowledge and skills. This position is for a 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am, Sun-Thu). 

Additional $2.50/hr premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.

This position will provide mechanical support to the plant:  

  • Ability to troubleshoot/replace bearings, pulleys, belts, sprockets, rollers, hinges, etc

  • Basic knowledge of machine tools: Lathes, Mills, and drill presses.  

  • ​​Physical ability to climb, kneel, bend and work at elevations. 

  • Basic knowledge of pipe fitting. 

  • Basic knowledge of welding, and sheet metal fabrication. 

  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, Calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges.

  • Lay-out and plan jobs including obtaining diagrams, tools, spare parts and supplies. 

  • Works safely following all safety procedures for the assignment such as lock-out/tag-out, and maintains a clean and organized work area, follows all company safety procedures.  

  • Cleans, dismantles, and reassembles equipment alone or with aid of other personnel using necessary tools.  Repairs or replaces parts.  Adjusts equipment for proper system operation. 

  • Perform repairs to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. 

  • Operates cranes, mobile lifts, forklifts, and other mobile equipment. 

  • Cleans, paints and lubricates equipment.  

  • Fills out inspection/repair records and routine reports.  

  • Communicate effectively with team members, corporate engineering, vendors, and internal customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of  3 years conventional Mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
