Responsibilities:

As a Sales and Use Tax Senior Associate, you will use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance services to many different types of companies. Candidates must be familiar with sales tax compliance, data analysis and have the analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnosis, development, and implementation of solutions to clients' sales tax needs. You will have the opportunity to develop and pursue creative approaches to resolve client issues.

• Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with state and local tax issues including compliance, advisory services, and planning.
• Ability to integrate with clients and the overall tax team to prepare sales and use returns and reconciliation file (specifically utilizing Vertex Returns software). Additionally, perform initial review of sales tax returns and online processing performing.
• Assist in planning and coordinating the flow of information with the RSM US team and the client team. Including activities related to assisting in training fellow team members
• Communicate with the US based team regarding any issues and concerns with respect to compliance
• Research, resolve and respond to tax notices
