About Team

EMF team as a part of the Enterprise IoT Platform area builds reusable and scalable device connectors that aid in acquiring telemetry from various devices across the fleet of stores, clubs, and distribution centres that Walmart operates. Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of components operating at petabyte-scale. We focus on near real-time data acquisition and data transformation pipelines which feed into and enabling multiple end-user applications and machine learning infrastructure.

What You'll Do :

• You develop scalable, containerized software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.

• You will build, extend, and maintain codebases to address the stakeholder’s and company’s requirements.

• You will be responsible for analysing requirements, producing a scalable design,

implementing, and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance.

• You will be able to troubleshoot problems quickly, efficiently addressing the root cause in a high-pace, high-impact environment will be a key part of this role.

• You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.

• You will be called upon to support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications.

• You will collaborate with a geographically distributed team daily.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in building backend systems and applications using Java 8 or above & the Spring Framework

• Skilled with containerization technologies (docker & kubernetes) and developing scalable

API driven systems with diverse data models (REST/XML/JSON)

• Hands-on with public cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred) or GCP

• Functional knowledge of observability systems and patterns

• A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
