Your New Role

      People Relations (“PR”) is a department comprised of a team of seasoned investigators located in the US, EMEA and LATAM. The primary function of the department is to conduct objective, balanced, and thorough investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other serious policy violations in the workplace. The People Relations team operates with the highest level of integrity and business ethics leveraging insights to influence all levels of the organization. The team acts with warmth, empathy, compassion, and creativity to drive effectiveness through the investigative process. The Investigator role personally conducts employment investigations involving employees across all business units. 

      The investigator role investigates and resolves employment-related claims in compliance with federal, state and local laws and Company policy and initiatives; increases employee confidence by ensuring consistency and fairness in the interpretation and application of Company policy; by providing technical expertise to client groups, and maintaining a collaborative and productive relationship with the Employment attorneys, People & Culture Partners, Security, and other global key stakeholders to resolve complex employment issues. The investigator identifies trends related to claims and makes recommendations to address issues identified--these may include partnership with the DEI team, training opportunities, culture enhancements, or recommending appropriate disciplinary action. This is a fully remote role that requires some flexibility and agility in work hours to support the various businesses across different time zones.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Conduct investigations into concerns about violations of internal policies, such as harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Investigations include gathering, interpreting and analyzing data, interviewing participants and composing documents and correspondence.
  • Present oral and written updates on the investigations
  • At request of P&C, present investigation findings to Business Unit Executives
  • Support P&C partners with written counselings and talking points
  • Conduct workplace environment assessments for departments experiencing low morale or unidentified issues
  • Ensure all cases are entered into case management system on a timely basis and comply with requests from the operations team
  • Work on ad hoc projects to benefit the wider PR team

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-10 years of experience conducting employment related investigations
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • JD or other applicable graduate degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated progressive Human Resources management or employment law experience
  • Entertainment industry experience desirable
  • Must be able to demonstrate operative knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures
  • Must have operative knowledge of federal/local laws governing employment issues
  • Must handle investigations with objectivity and consistency
  • Must be able to handle multiple investigations and projects simultaneously
  • Must have excellent follow-through and a strong sense of urgency
  • Must be able to research and analyze data and findings
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel including attorneys and business unit executives
  • Must be able to be tactful yet assertive when addressing employment issues and concerns
  • Must be able to utilize diplomacy, assertiveness, and adaptability attributes in dealing with senior executives throughout the organization
  • Must be able to handle difficult/highly emotional personalities
  • Must be able to exercise keen judgment when analyzing and resolving employment issues
  • Must be able to uphold the highest level of confidentiality
  • Management has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at any time
