Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the fast-growing Large Electric Power Solutions business. This position will support the business with consolidated financial reporting, analysis/insights into the financial results, and commercial support for the Caterpillar Large Gas and Diesel genset products. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work will be highly visible at many levels of the company.

What You Will Do:

• Accountable for monthly financial reporting and analysis (including review of transactions during month-end close and periodic journal entry submission)
• Provide insights on the financial results to assist management with business decisions
• Development of the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts for sales (including individual sales targets for the commercial organization)
• Responsible for sales data management, pricing calculations/analysis, metric tracking, and commercial governance
• Develop new tools and analytics to streamline financial analysis and provide enhanced decision support
• Support ad-hoc analysis, Board and EO presentations, and various other Segment reporting requirements

What You Have:

• Education/Experience:  This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field and 8+ years of job-related experience.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high level of precision
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Familiarity with PowerBI
• MBA, Certified Accountant, or master’s degree in a business-related field

Additional Info:

• The position will be located in Irving, TX or Mossville, IL
• This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
• Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
