What You Will Do:

  • Complete posting, balancing and exception activities for payments by all methods received into our systems.
  • Processing returned payment transactions against customer accounts, including daily balancing of returned payments bank account.
  • Investigating and correcting payments that were misapplied.
  • Process refund and payment transfer requests on behalf of our customers.
  • Interact with customers, financial institutions, vendor partners and internal stakeholders via phone and email.

Who You Are:

You will have the following education and experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma with 3 years’ experience in a financial environment/bookkeeping/accounting OR post-secondary diploma in a financial area with limited experience. An equivalent combination of education, certification, work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as this role requires communication with internal and external business partners.
  • Strong attention to detail, as accuracy is very important and daily backup for all activity is key for auditing.
  • Strong organization skills, as work volumes for tasks vary throughout the month.

Preferred:

  • A candidate with both post-secondary education in financial area, as well as experience would be preferred.
  • Open to new graduates from financial program with limited experience, if they demonstrate the other required attributes and knowledge.
