Job Description

Functional and Role Responsibilities 

  • This position is responsible for providing a detailed analysis of any flight safety profile limits alert, using Airbus/Teledyne AirFASE software.

  • To provide monthly trends of significant flight safety events to all AOCs and identify events with corrupted data separated them from the trend’s data.

  • To produce reports and analysis using the dedicated flight data analysis program software (AirFASE).

  • To review and analyze flight data to identify areas of operational and safety hazards.

  • To verify and validate flight data quality to ensure serviceability and efficacy of data acquisition hardware and flight data analysis program software.

  • To perform cross-reference between flight data and other relevant safety monitoring information (e.g. safety reports, aircraft maintenance logs, etc.)


Functional and Role Duties

  • Efficiently provides assistance to the Flight Safety Manager in achieving Flight Safety Data Analysis Programme (FSDAP) objectives and related matters when necessary.

  • Accountable and responsible for tasks given and prioritize job when incident occurred to ensure prompt and appropriate corrective action to be taken immediately.

  • Draft, review and distribute correspondence, including emails, letters, and reports.

  • Strengthen AirAsia brand image and customer advocacy.

  • Promote AirAsia’s culture within the organization.

  • Ensure transparency and promote good governance.

  • Develop talents and strengthen staff’s capability; ensure all staff receive appropriate training.


Traits

  • Sound knowledge of the organization’s operations, procedures and activities

  • Broad aviation technical knowledge

  • An extensive knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) and have completed appropriate SMS training

  • Good understanding of safety data science principles and techniques to support SMS

  • Experience implementing and/or managing SMS

  • The ability to communicate at all levels both inside and outside the company

  • The ability to be firm in conviction, promote a just and fair culture‖ and yet advance an open and nonpunitive atmosphere for reporting

  • The ability and confidence to communicate directly to the head of department as his advisor and confidante.

Merits

Minimum working experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of airline operations experience with a basic understanding of flight operations or flight safety.

  • Knowledge of Flight Data Analysis (FDA) program policies, procedures, systems, and operating environment is preferred.

Education:

Possess minimum SPM or its equivalent.

Professional qualifications:

  • Good skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Office Word and Excel; and strong interpersonal skills would be an added advantage.
