Job Description Summary:

Cardiac Sonographer performs Echocardiograms in a hospital-based Cardiology Practice to detect, localize and quantify pathologies of the heart; analyzes test data; creates preliminary interpretation report; discusses test needs and interpretation with physician; organizes and presents in-services relating to Cardiac Ultrasound and non-invasive testing to nursing, medical staff, and other associates; provides for outstanding service to customers both external and internal, acts as an ambassador and advocate for the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to external and internal contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association

Minimum in a two-year allied medicine patient related healthcare program (i.e., sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN).

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) or registry eligible (RDCS or RCS) with registry obtained within 12 months of hire.

BLS Certification.
